If you don’t even feel the need to make a plan, you’ll want to first listen to episode 367.
Ready?
Step 1: Write down all your tasks on a paper - just dump them out.
This comes from the cognitive function of collecting precise data.
Step 2: Prioritize - next to each task write A, B or C depending on how important it is.
This comes from the cognitive function of comparisons.
Step 3: Group tasks that are related - when we combine tasks together or do similar tasks right after each other, we save a lot of time and mental energy.
This comes from the cognitive function of categorization.
Step 4: Block out your calendar- write down any meetings you have and put in your calendar all your tasks starting from A, then B, and C. Make sure you put your more important tasks in the hour that your brain works best.
This comes from the cognitive function of time, understanding reality and projecting virtual relationships.
Voila! You have your productive week all planned out.
Your challenge this week is plan the upcoming week following this plan.
I plan my week ahead every Friday. Think you can make that a habit too?
