The Secret to Improving Your Focus Without Medication

CUSTOM JAVASCRIPT / HTML

You want to focus better? Without medication?

You’ve already tried everything, maybe even meds but nothing really helped or maybe it gave you side effects you don’t like.

Today I’m gonna share with you the secret to developing the part of your brain that’s in charge of focusing. This way focusing is something that happens naturally.

The Parietal Lobe

The part of the brain in charge of choosing to focus is the parietal lobe.
If we want to get better at focusing, we want to develop that part of the brain, make more neuron connections there, make it a place that’s fully developed with nice smooth roads verse rocky paths.

The Parietal lobe is in charge of multiple things - two that we care about right now:
1. Choosing to focus
2. The sense of touch

When you improve your sense of touch, you automatically improve your ability to focus.

Understanding Touch

Usually when you touch something, your eyes see it before you actually feel it.
Since most of the time it knows that it's going to feel like, essentially you are feeling with your eyes.

When you pick up your blanket, your brain has done that dozens (if not hundreds) of times before and makes an assumption of what it feels like before your hands even get on in.

So, in order to improve your sense of touch, you’ve got to take away the sense of sight, and let your sense of touch begin to develop.

In the beginning you might actually feel it in your brain, because this is a part not well developed. You’ll be driving down rocky territory but overtime, the roads will become smooth and your focusing will start happening naturally.

Improving Your Sense of Touch

Before I give you some fun ways to develop your sense of touch, I want to remind you, none of the activities are a one and done.
You’ll need to do them multiple times to begin to see results. The more you do it, the more you’ll get results.

1. Build a tower out of blocks or Lego blindfolded. You can even look a picture before, then put on the blindfold and see if you can make it.

2. Tell a story with puppets or mini animals/people while being blindfolded and you’ve got feel to make sure you are using the right puppet/animals.

3. Have a friend or even your child, draw pictures for you with puff paint. Once it dries, you’ve got feel it blindfolded and guess that it is.

4. Braille books or braille maze books are also an amazing way to develop this skill.

It's important to focus on the details of the item you are touching. That is where the real development happens.

Like I said, it takes time and patience, but I believe in you, you’ll get there!
